I've really loved using my programming background in my art and exploring the intersection of code and animation. It's been fun to delve into the world of technical art and push past the limitations of both mediums to create unique art!

I modeled and rigged this Rubik's cube entirely in Python for Maya.

The main difficulty was passing joints among the controls as the cube positions change. My solution to this was to recalculate the positions of the cubes on each rotation, keep track of the cubes that each face control should parent, and re-parent the cubes on selection of a control.
